So! As some/many of you might have read, I had a humongous hangover yesterday, the first of my life and one that didn't really leave me be until today. Being bored and lonely, I got on devART and wrote as much of a journal as I could without getting nauseous asking people to offer up their best hangover cures! I got six replies from a few awesome people who, despite the fact that they've never met me, (with the exception of two,) face to face, cared to help rehabilitate me from my bout of stupidity-induced distress!

1.) :iconfreeglader: Suggested sucking on lemons and drinking water, (or more alcohol!)

2.) :iconyami-loni: Has never had a hangover! I give her a feature for avoiding such a crappy thing!

3.) :iconwhiteling: Offered really strong coffee and a lemon! (I should keep lemons in case of potential future hangovers.)

4.) :icongreatgrendel: Recommended painkillers, fluids and starches for my stomach.

5.) :iconun-earthed: Told me to drink lots of water, but not enough to kill myself like that crazy lady on the radio.

6.) :iconjunsui-san: Did some research and suggested drinking orange juice, fruit juice and water as well as staying away from caffeine. Also sleep.

Those are my heroes of the day! :clap:

But, wait! There's more!

I just finished a HUGE and difficult traditional art project tonight! I've taken a few pictures and will be uploading them tomorrow sometime between noon and two in the afternoon! Keep your eyes out!

Keeny's Flashback Box
My dog chewed the end off my Bamboo Fun Stylus. I was working well for awhile, but then, today, it crapped out. It's stuck on one function. Erase. . . . So that's not helping much. I have to replace it. The problem is that not just any stylus will work with my tablet. I have to replace it. And the reason that's a problem is that the replacement stylus is going to set me back near 40 dollars. And that's money I really don't have right now. Plus, it sets me back about a week as far as the art goes on top of already losing work due to a Photoshop crash. And that's if I order the stylus tonight. Which . . . eh . . . it's not happening so we'll see when I'll be back in the saddle as far as art goes.

The good news is that my devART account has finally reached 10,000 pageviews! I saw it coming and was going to attach a kiriban, but the fact of the matter is that I don't have enough time to provide a gift for the person to catch it. :( I do appreciate it, though. You can be assured of that. I'll probably have one at 15,000 or 20,000 if it ever happens.

Something on the lighter side:

Today I invented a drink. I call it an 'Island Zinger' and I recommend it to anyone over twenty one. Here's the ingredients.

1 shot of Malibu Coconut Rum
1 1/2 shot of pineapple juice (100% juice)
Fill with Orange Juice
1 shot of Tropicana Pomegranate Blueberry Juice on top

Last Easter season I ate over 150 Cadbury Creme Eggs, and I lost ten pounds while doing so. I believe I found a new fad diet, and it's delicious. The art in my gallery is completely non-reflective of that time in my life.

I noticed vast majority of your work is in black and white; is it ONLY pencil?

The majority of it is actually in charcoal. I like the richness of it much better than pencil. You can get deep, velvety blacks with charcoal that are unobtainable with graphite.

Oh no wonder xD It looks great! But I don't have the resources (at the moment) to experiment with different mediums :P Hopefully I'll be able to try some others out in the future...any advice/suggestions? xD

Well, as you can tell, I'm a fan of charcoal. It's very versatile and also fairly cheap. I also like digital art, so if you can invest in a tablet, I'd highly recommend doing so. You don't have to continually replace your supplies and you get a full range of color!

Charcoal isn't so easy to find back where I live though xD So I might pass on that one until I can find it...and I don't have the money at the moment for a tablet, but since it has so many benefits, I might as well go earn some money to buy one xD
